** Failed E-Mail Deliveries
There were several e-mails that bounced when I sent out the 3/31 newsletter, at least 14 from hotmail.com. You may want to check the web site from time to time to make sure you haven't missed something important (like a contest!) due to a failed e-mail delivery. I track bounced e-mails and won't remove someone from the database unless there are several failed deliveries in a row. Please be sure to let me know if your e-mail address changes.

** Contest Update
So far we have gained 123 new subscribers (up to 324 total active subscribers) since the contest began on 3/29. The new subscribers were referred by a fairly small number of current subscribers. I'll suggest again that you look for someone in your class who has a list of your classmates that includes at least some with e-mail addresses. That's the best way to increase your entries in the contest, thus increasing your chances of winning a custom CD courtesy of Jeff Jumper (62), and increasing the chances that you'll find something of interest to you in these newsletters. I've also added a contest page to the PHS Alumni On-Line web site and I'll post contest updates there. FYI, current class metrics are listed below. - Paul

Some of us women from the class of `58 still get together at least once a year to trade stories and tell a few lies. This year we will meet at my time-share at Lake Tahoe Aug. 18th to 26th. So far those coming are Donna Walker Schmelzer, Judy McRae Brock, Judy Luse Strong, and Kay McMurdo Holmes. If anyone else is interested, email me.

Another kind of ball update. Getting hit on any part of your body with that hard orange relatively-football shaped object we had at Captain Gray. You laid it on the ground crosswise and kicked it, usually into your best friend. I was also hit in the head with it, as with every other kind of ball I ever played. Baseball, basketball, football (the regular kind), tennis ball and bowling ball - but that's a VERY long story.
And then there's the fire drill test ball. At Captain Gray, bouncing the tennis ball against the wall in the Gym and trying to see how close I could come to the fire alarm push button. Well, that was too close and we all followed those same paths outside. And then I had to confess, for more detention. Miss Chess wasn't too hard about that, though.

To Marcia Meyers:
Hey, I think that all Den Mothers, past and present, should get a medal for sure. They truly are the backbone of Scouting and deserve some recognition. I'm involved in this summer's campout. We will be doing a "Space" campout and teach the boys about the planets, stars, etc., should prove to be very interesting. It was my idea so I'll be busy as you well know getting it all together. Looking forward to the experience. I should be prepared, as I made it all the way to Eagle Scout. I didn't think it would mean so much to have achieved that rank but it does have its rewards both personal and professional. My hat goes off to anyone associated with the Boy Scouts of America. Ok . . . any other Eagle scouts out there? I know of a few that are alumni - c'mon back...

ps: I grew up on Margaret St. (1116 West) and remember some of the neighborhood hijinx myself. I do have some stories that may surface from time to time.

Does anyone remember the so-called haunted house out on Livingston Road, near Road 52, I think? Does anyone remember why it was “haunted?” I seem to remember it being a big topic of discussion, but I don't recall how it became a story.
