I enjoy reading your PHS Alumni On-Line and just want to pass along that we at the Franklin County Historical Museum (located in the old Carnegie Library at 4th and Bonneville) are happy to learn of class reunion dates and will be happy to put this info into our monthly newsletter (including names of those you can't locate, in hopes that some of our 900 members might be of help). Also, contact us if you want to have a coffee at the museum, say on a Saturday morning of reunion day. We have Mr. Gregson's bicycle on display which he said he rode as a kid and passed it on to his children who rode it as well! We also like to receive your class reunion photo to put in our quarterly publication, the Franklin Flyer.
And, lastly, if any of you are interested in joining the Franklin County Historical Society to receive our publications, send $15 for individual membership to FCHS, 305 N. 4th, Pasco, 99301 and include your name and mailing address. Thanks.

Re: Doc Hastings:
Thank you Sally Trelstad Kirkpatrick for your comments about Doc as he is a great guy and great congressman, even though back in the days of yore (58-59) I could usually out-fish him on treks to the Tucannon.
My only regret is that Doc is not my congressional rep from Seattle!!

Does anyone know the whereabouts of Gary Lane? If so please tell him that I would like to E-Mail him.

Seems like just a couple of years ago that I used to ride my bicycle over to Neville Spadafore's house and he would ride on the handle bars, and we would hurry off to Capt. Gray School.

How many guys out there ever got a spat in P.E. class from Jake Stappler? He would usually catch you as you came out of the shower. Did that ever smart.
I remember playing soccer in Jr. High P.E. class, and I threw a body block in front of Jerry Penny. Jerry fell on top of me and broke my collar bone.

I'll bet we wished we still owned our old cars:
Jay Hendler
1964  Mustang convert.
Richard Brown
1949  Plymouth
Neil Kenworthy
1940  Ford
Terry Phillips
1948  Buick Roadmaster.
Gary Lane
1949  Ford
Ray Hamilton
1957  Chev.

What would these Cars be worth today? Anyone care to add to this list.

Thanks for the fun days. Got lots more stories, but that's another day.

Re State 4A basketball tournament:
Boys' team lost their chance for a 4th place trophy. They got bumped from the tournament by Central Valley 66-58. They got in a hole by getting outscored 12-1 in the second quarter. Although the ending was disappointing, the Pasco boys had a very good season with a 21-7 record.

Girls' team beat Enumclaw 70-68 and played Kennewick today for fourth place. Bulldog girls took fourth with a 48-40 win and end the season with a record of 27-2.

Hi Paul,
Seems, like I remember one of our Bulldogs taking skunk oil to KHS, and pouring it in their heating registers -- that was too funny. We could smell those KHS students for miles. I'm wondering who? And how?

Hello all you Bulldog fans,
This has been a great year for our high school. Finally, we are going to purchase the land to build another high school. I can remember them talking about a second high school back in 1968.

This year even the boys basketball team is going to the State play offs. Things sure have changed since we went to school. A girls' basketball team wasn't even an idea. Those young ladies really play hard. It amazes me when I watch them hit the floor and bounce right back up. All I can think of is "ouch." Because my youngest is a Senior at PHS this year and in every band program they offer, I've had the opportunity to watch both of our teams play. They are good.

Gary [Small], I read the article about you and your wife's business. I think it is great. I will always remember how envious of your outstanding brain power I was. I wish I could build my own programs and lap tops. Not all of us are as talented as you. By the way, how do you stay looking so young?

I too haven't heard anything about a 35 year reunion. I ran into Susan Bond (Lisk) at a ball game and she didn't mention it. I know we talked about it at our 30th and it was supposed to be low key. Perhaps they will see the interest and something will happen.

You all take care and if you think about it, cheer on the home team.

Hi fellow Bulldogs,
What a weekend with girls and boys basketball games in Spokane. I was so excited when they both made it through regionals and making their way to the State Championships this week. It's been a blast watching these kids play this year and also watching my fellow classmates coaching the boys team.
Class of `91 classmates Chad Herron and John Cazier are doing an excellent job coaching. I remember the last time the boys went to State was when my younger brother Daniel, Class of `96, was playing. Oddly enough, Daniel and Kelly Herron, Chad's younger brother, played together throughout their high school careers. I remember they lost their first game, which was their only loss of the season, and won the rest of their games and then they were awarded 5th place. It was a great experience for him and his teammates. My family enjoyed watching Daniel and his friends play. Good Luck to both girls and boys in their trip to State.
