** 4A Eastern Regionals Basketball Tournament

Pasco boys lost their first game to Mt. Spokane, but beat Richland 68-56 on Friday in a loser-out game. They played Ferris today for a chance to advance to the state tournament in Tacoma and won 48-45.

Pasco girls breezed through regionals beating Mead in the first round and finishing up by beating Richland 59-42. They are assured a berth in the state tournament and will play Kennewick tonight for the regional title.

** Dropped Subscribers
I usually get at least 30 bounced e-mails when I send out a newsletter. I track each one, including the reason. Several are usually due to insufficient disk space for folks using web-based e-mail (Juno, Hotmail, etc.) and I don't do anything with them. However, many appear to be due to folks changing e-mail addresses and come back with a message of user unknown, or something to that effect. When I get more than 4 of those in a row I will drop the subscriber. So, if you check the archives on the web site and see that you're not receiving newsletters that you should be getting, make sure you have provided me with any e-mail address change. If you see someone on the list that follows and you know they have e-mail, you may want to let them know why they were dropped. If they send me a current e-mail address I will be happy to add them back as an active subscriber. - Paul

Hi Beverley [Cochrane],
Ask Eddy Goulet the next time you see him if he remembers the time he scared his brother, George, and myself off one night with the shotgun just because we were stuffing a potato up the exhaust pipe on his car.

PHS class of `62 is never reticent about showing its pride. We still chant "You can't outdo `62" at the drop of the hat. But we're especially proud that our own Jan Eric Peterson is to be inducted into the PHS Hall of Fame on Tuesday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bob Gregson Auditorium of PHS. Come on `62 alumni, let's show up and show our pride!
Jan is a past president of the Washington State Bar Association, a fellow at the American College of Trial Lawyers, past president of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, has been a Washington State delegate to the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He received a 1999 Trial Lawyer of the Year award from the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and is listed in Best Lawyers in America. The list goes on.
Jan is senior partner in the law firm Peterson, Young & Putra (yes, that would be our own Brian Putra.) The qualities that initially attracted Jan to law are the same ones that have kept him in the profession for 30 years. "What attracted me is real people with real problems. I wanted to make a difference. I like doing something about something, righting wrongs. That feels good," he explains.
And with all that, Jan still finds time to talk to students here in Pasco and even to act as MC for his high school reunions (when he isn't on the Meadow Springs golf course.)
  Congratulations to Jan!

Congratulations also to Marilyn (Cunningham) Baker, Dennis Cox, Mike Guajardo, and Deanna Swoboda.

Re Inquiry from Bill Wingfield (`67 RHS):
I think it was Leslie Corrigan, I think her sister Kelly lives her in the Tri-Cities. Paul, do you have Kelly's info?

It sure is nice to have this site to go to when you are feeling nostalgic. I see names I have forgotten and remember things thought lost forever. Paul, you are to be thanked incredibly for keeping all of us in touch with one another. Thanks for your unending work. How about getting an invitation started to meet somewhere in Pasco next month for a drink together, anyone reading this site could show up and we could pass the word on to others. Someone start the ball rolling . . .
